George Lloyd-Roberts BA MSc 
Chairman 

George started his career as a Lloyds broker before joining syndicate 584 as an assistant underwriter in 1973. In 1976, George helped to form Lloyd-Roberts and Gilkes Limited and became the underwriter of G E Lloyd-Roberts and Others for 24 years. During his career at Lloyds, George served on the Committee of Lloyds, the Solvency Committee, the Regulatory Board and as chairman of the Lloyds Underwriters Non-Marine Association. Currently, he is a non-executive director and/or underwriting committee member of a number of Lloyd's managing agencies. He is a member of the panel of Arbitrators (A.I.D.A) in the UK.


Ian Morris 
Director 

Ian began his career with a Lloyds Syndicate (216) in November 1986. During his time with the syndicate he was exposed to both Marine and Non Marine excess of Loss business working his way to an assistant underwriter before leaving to join a specialised non-marine syndicate in 1988. Following this spell in Lloyds, Ian moved to Willis Faber & Dumas where he worked for 11 and a half years moving into the financial risk arena in 1994. After assisting in the set up of the majority of the UK Mortgage Indemnity captives he then became one of the founding partners of Cordis Consulting, set up by Willis to assist clients. After a spell at another Lloyds broker, Ian was asked to join Brit Insurance Limited in October 2002 to develop the Financial Risk and Mortgage Risk accounts. The Brit FR business grew to over £100m of Mortgage income and some $50m of Financial Risk income across a global book. In November 2009 after 7 years at Brit, Ian left Brit Insurance Limited to form the specialist Mortgage Risk and Financial Risk Managing General Agency called ARMUM Limited.
